The closing ceremony of 53rd National Safety Week took place at Safety Excellence Centre, NTPC Gadarwara on 11th March, 2024.

The theme of 53rd National Safety Week celebrations this year was "Focus on Safety Leadership for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Excellence". A number of activities were organized to spread awareness about safety among employees and their families.

Some of the important highlights of this week-long celebration included Safety Quiz, Spot the Hazard Contest, Poster Painting on “Road Safety”, Elocution Competition on “Your role in Construction/ O&M Safety” as well as Chlorine leakage arresting drill competition in team of two members by CISF personnel.

Shri Probal Mundle, HoP, Gadarwara was the chief guest for the closing ceremony held on 11th March, 2024. Shri Samrendra Kumar Roy, GM (O&M), Shri Rajiv Kumar Sinha, GM (Maintenance), Shri Prasanta Kumar Jena, GM (Operation), Shri S.R. Karthikeyan, AGM (TS), Shri S.S. Nagpal, AGM (Project) as well as other employees were also present at this occasion.

Shri A.R. Behera, AGM (Safety) addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of safety not just in industries but also in our day to day lives.

The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony where all the participants were felicitated by the chief guest for their commendable efforts in various competitions held during the Safety Week.
